Experience Days vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is printed on the back of physical gift cards or on the e-certificate sent by email. You’ll need to book and take the chosen experience before that printed expiry date. Top tip: check the expiry date before you try to redeem or book an experience.
Experience Days lets vouchers be extended for an extra 12 months, provided the voucher hasn’t already been extended. The fee for a single extension is £20 and extensions can only be applied once. Extensions must be processed before the voucher’s original expiry to be accepted. If a voucher has already been redeemed, contact Experience Days customer service for help.
Vouchers are available as an e-certificate by email or as a physical voucher sent by post. Email delivery is FREE and is usually instant, while physical delivery uses Royal Mail services and may incur a charge. Electronic delivery is the recommended option if you need immediate delivery. Bonus points: add Experience Days’ email address to your contacts to stop vouchers landing in spam.
Experience Days uses Royal Mail First Class Post as its standard postal service for physical vouchers. This service is typically untracked and usually takes between one to three business days, although arrival is not guaranteed. The company accepts no responsibility for Royal Mail delivery performance. If you choose recorded or special delivery, you’ll receive a tracking code by email.
If a physical voucher is lost by Royal Mail, Experience Days will provide a duplicate voucher FREE of charge. If the voucher is lost due to a customer error - for example an incorrect address or failure to collect from a sorting office - a duplicate will be issued but an extra delivery charge will apply. Delivery charges are non-refundable under the terms. Notify Experience Days as soon as possible if you think a voucher has gone missing.
Experience Days allows refunds of vouchers if they haven’t been redeemed online and the request is within 14 days of purchase, with no charge. Refunds requested between 15 and 28 days after purchase incur an administration charge of £20 or 20% of the purchase price, whichever is greater. No refunds are offered for vouchers more than 28 days after purchase. Once a voucher has been activated and an EX booking voucher created, Experience Days states that refunds are not possible.
Bookings made through Experience Days where a specific date has been confirmed and an EX Number issued are not refundable. If you need to reschedule or cancel, Experience Days will try to help but refunds aren’t offered for confirmed bookings. If a partner centre cancels an activity, you’ll generally be asked to rebook with the centre rather than receive a refund from Experience Days. Check partner centre terms when bookings are made directly with the supplier.
Vouchers can be exchanged for online credit equivalent to their original purchase, or swapped for a different course or experience FREE of charge prior to activation. If the replacement experience costs more, you’ll need to pay the difference; if it’s cheaper, the remaining credit is stored in your online account. Online credited accounts are valid for 10 months from dispatch date, or 12 months for vouchers purchased after 29 November 2016. Exchanges can’t be made once a voucher has been activated online.
Certificates valid for a specific activity can be exchanged at any time prior to redemption at no cost. This FREE exchange applies to activity-specific vouchers that haven’t yet been redeemed. If the new activity costs more, you’ll need to pay the difference. The policy gives recipients flexibility to change their chosen experience before booking.
If a partner centre cancels an experience due to unforeseen circumstances, Experience Days advises customers to reschedule the date with the provider. Because redemption generally creates a valid ticket, customers aren’t automatically entitled to a refund in such cases. Contact the partner centre or Experience Days for help rebooking. The terms recommend trying to resolve things with the venue manager or activity co‑ordinator first, and escalating complaints to Experience Days if needed.
Once a voucher has been activated and an EX booking voucher created online, no refund can be made because you hold an active ticket for the chosen experience. The same no‑refund stance applies to bookings that have been confirmed through Experience Days. Check availability and any restrictions before activation - refund requests after activation are not accepted under the stated terms and conditions.
If you request a change of delivery method after purchase, Experience Days will apply the normal delivery fee for the chosen service. Delivery charges are non-refundable in the terms and conditions. The company will email tracking details for recorded or special delivery options when those services are selected. Contact them promptly if delivery issues arise so they can try to arrange duplicates where appropriate.
Corporate and group bookings or booking reservations can be secured with a non-refundable 10% deposit. The full balance for group bookings must be paid 30 days before the scheduled activity. Before that 30-day deadline, cancellations and changes in participant numbers are possible, although partner centre terms may vary. The 10% deposit requirement and balance timing apply unless the partner centre states otherwise during booking.
Experience Days says prices shown on the website are updated daily and are correct to the company’s knowledge. If an order is placed at an accidental incorrect price, Experience Days will try to inform the purchaser within 14 days of purchase. You can then cancel the order or pay the difference. This policy covers genuine pricing errors and aims to protect both customers and the company.
Experience Days requires partner centres to hold appropriate public liability insurance before their services are promoted on the site. However, the company makes no warranty about the activities themselves and advises customers to check insurance where they think it necessary. Experience Days recommends you consider whether you need your own insurance cover for certain activities. Responsibility for assessing risks and obtaining extra insurance rests with the participant.
