How the calculator works: an example

Example: you're buying some Dulux Walls & Ceilings matt emulsion paint at B&Q for £55.98, and you have a 10% off code. If a 40% sale is on and the code also works on sale items, the sale takes off £22.39 and the code a further £3.36, so the basket drops to £30.23: a saving of £25.75. Add the £6.00 delivery charge for the full price. Press “Fill in the example” to see it worked out, or put in your own basket, sale and code. Whether a code works on sale items depends on its terms.

How to use a B&Q discount code

  1. Add your items to your basket on diy.com. Coupons and codes don't work on products sold by other sellers on diy.com (marked 'Sold and shipped by' the seller's name).
  2. On the basket page, scroll down past the order summary and select 'Add B&Q Club card or discount code'.
  3. Change the drop-down to 'Coupon code', type the code exactly as shown (codes are case sensitive, with no spaces) and click Apply. Only one coupon works per order.
  4. Most diy.com offers, such as price cuts and the kitchen and bathroom spend-and-save events, need no code: the saving shows in the price or in the basket.
