How the calculator works: an example

Example: you're buying a year's digital subscription to Hello! magazine at Pocket Mags for £84.99, and you have a 10% off code. If a 40% sale is on and the code also works on sale items, the sale takes off £34.00 and the code a further £5.10, so the basket drops to £45.89: a saving of £39.10. Press “Fill in the example” to see it worked out, or put in your own basket, sale and code. Whether a code works on sale items depends on its terms.

How to subscribe at Pocket Mags

  1. Open the magazine's page on pocketmags.com and pick a digital offer: a single issue, or a subscription billed monthly, every 3 or 6 months, or yearly. Each shows the price per issue and the saving against single issues. For unlimited reading, choose Pocketmags Plus+ instead: 99p for the first 30 days, then £9.99 a month.
  2. Add it to your basket. For a present, tick "Give as gift" in the pop-up basket.
  3. Check out with a Pocket Mags account (there is no guest checkout). If you have a code, enter it in the Gift Cards & Promotional Codes box at checkout; a code can't be combined with another promotion or used on gift vouchers. You can also enter Pocketmags Points and click "Use Points".
  4. The current issue appears in My Library straight away, to read in a browser or the Pocket Mags apps. Subscriptions renew automatically: to stop one, click "Cancel renewal" in My Subscriptions at least 24 hours before the next payment.
