How the calculator works: an example

Example: you're buying some recipe kits at Abel and Cole for £35.50, and you have a 10% off code. If a 40% sale is on and the code also works on sale items, the sale takes off £14.20 and the code a further £2.13, so the basket drops to £19.17: a saving of £16.33. Add the £3.75 delivery charge for the full price. Press “Fill in the example” to see it worked out, or put in your own basket, sale and code. Whether a code works on sale items depends on its terms.

How to use an Abel & Cole discount code

  1. Check that Abel & Cole delivers to your postcode, then set up an account: you need one to order.
  2. Add what you want to your basket. For the box offer, that means a weekly Fruit & Veg Box, not a Christmas or limited edition box.
  3. Enter your code at checkout and check the saving shows before you finish.
  4. A code works once and can't be combined with any other offer. You can change your order until midnight two days before delivery, and payment is taken on the delivery day.

How does the 50% off first and fourth box offer work?

Add a weekly Fruit & Veg Box to your basket and enter the code: your first box is 50% off. After two full-price deliveries with a box, your fourth box is 50% off too. Each order must arrive within 4 weeks of the last or the offer lapses, and the £3.75 delivery charge applies. Abel & Cole's terms cap this kind of box offer at a box worth £34.75.

Why won't my Abel & Cole discount code work?

Introductory offers are for new customers, not anyone with an order in place or a delivery in the last 6 weeks. A code can be used only once and can't be combined with another offer, the box offer needs a weekly Fruit & Veg Box (not a Christmas or limited edition box), and codes don't work on gift e-vouchers.

Source: abelandcole.co.uk, read 30 Oct

How much is Abel & Cole delivery and is there a minimum order?

Delivery is £3.75 and the minimum order is £12. Abel & Cole visits each area on the same day every week, so you can't pick a day or time slot; its postcode checker shows yours.

Source: abelandcole.co.uk, read 30 Oct

Can I cancel Abel & Cole after using a code?

Yes, there is no contract. You can stop your orders or close your account online at any time, as long as you change or cancel by midnight two days before delivery. The fourth box discount needs your orders to keep arriving within 4 weeks of each other.
