Akira had her eye on a Bosch fridge freezer costing a total of £449.00 at Hughes Electricals, and had recently received a 10% off voucher code in an email. She had heard rumours of an upcoming 40% clearance sale at Hughes Electricals and wanted to check the savings she could make on the off chance that they would accept the voucher code on an already discounted product. Akira used our calculator and discovered that by applying both the sale discount AND the voucher together, her basket would drop to just £242.46 - a massive saving of £206.54! Even better, since her final total exceeded the free delivery threshold of £70.00, she didn't have to pay the usual £5.99 delivery charge. The calculator showed her exactly how each discount stacked up and she decided to wait for the sale and see if her dreams would come true! After many good experiences, Akira has trusted PriceDash for many years as her source of validated codes and often visits us when she needs to order from Hughes Electricals.

Large appliances often include installation and recyclable collection for a small fee, making upgrades easier and greener. A practical benefit is saving time and avoiding awkward transport for bulky items.
Don’t forget to review return windows and warranty options before you buy so you’re covered if something goes wrong. Many orders come with a price match promise and FREE 5 year guarantees on selected lines. If delivery slots are tight, flexible dates or click-and-collect can be a simple workaround.
Beyond products, value-added services like installation, recycling and extended warranties affect how much you actually save. Many customers use buy-now-pay-later options or rent-to-own plans to spread costs without losing out on early savings. The key benefit is getting expert installation and a stress-free setup for your new appliance.

Environmental initiatives such as recycling old appliances can carry small fees but offer convenience and sustainability. If you need help, live chat and customer support are often available to guide your choices.
Hughes Electricals charges a standard delivery fee of £5.99 for small appliances when your order total is below the free-delivery threshold shown on the site. If your small appliance order meets or exceeds that threshold, delivery is FREE. The small appliance band covers items like coffee machines, vacuum cleaners and hobs. Top tip: check the product page or the delivery information for the exact threshold at the time you buy.
For large freestanding and built-in kitchen and laundry appliances, Hughes Electricals applies a delivery charge of £19.99 when the order total is under the free-delivery threshold. Orders of £400 or more for large appliances qualify for FREE delivery according to the published delivery bands. This category includes white goods such as refrigerators, dishwashers and washing machines. Don’t forget to confirm the banding on the delivery information page for specific products before you finish your order.
Hughes Electricals lists a standard delivery charge of £5.99 for televisions 55 inches and under if the order doesn’t meet the free-delivery criteria. TVs over 55 inches are charged at £19.99 for delivery unless the item’s price meets the free-delivery threshold. Any television priced over the specified free-delivery threshold is delivered FREE - the delivery table on the site shows which TVs qualify. Check the specific TV product page and the delivery section for the exact threshold that applies.
Yes - Hughes Electricals publishes clear free-delivery thresholds that vary by product category and size. The small appliance threshold is shown on the delivery page; large appliances are FREE at £400 or more; and televisions over a stated value also qualify for FREE delivery. These thresholds mean many higher-value items will get FREE delivery, while lower-value buys may incur the standard charge. Make sure you consult the delivery information for the exact category-specific thresholds before ordering.
Hughes Electricals offers a click & collect service so you can order online and pick up from a local store - and it’s FREE. Many items are available for collection within as little as one hour, subject to stock and store availability. Orders held for collection will be kept safe for up to two days after the original pick-up slot. Select Click & Collect at checkout and wait for a confirmation email when your order is ready to collect.
Hughes Electricals will hold a click & collect order for up to two days after the original pick-up slot to give you some leeway. The click & collect confirmation email will say when the item is available and the two-day holding period starts from the original pick-up appointment. If you can’t collect within that time, contact the store to discuss next steps - they’ll help you out.
For change of mind returns, Hughes Electricals asks customers to request a returns authorisation within 14 days after delivery to qualify for a full refund, subject to terms. Start the returns process by contacting customer services via email, live chat or phone - don’t send goods back before you’ve spoken to the team. For a full refund, goods should be returned in their original condition and any bundled items must be returned together. The returns page outlines exceptions and conditions for health, hygiene and sealed items.
If an item is confirmed faulty within 30 days of delivery, Hughes Electricals will offer an exchange or a full refund as appropriate. Faults found after 30 days but within six months are usually dealt with by repair or replacement, and if neither option is practicable a partial or full refund may be offered. For faults beyond six months that can be shown to have been present at delivery, the same repair and replacement guidelines apply. Manufacturer warranties and your statutory rights are unaffected by this process.
Hughes Electricals supplies all products with a minimum manufacturer’s guarantee period of 12 months from the date of delivery for domestic use. Some manufacturers offer extended warranties, so register with the manufacturer where required to get longer cover. The guarantee typically covers parts and labour but doesn’t include accidental damage unless separate cover is purchased. For full details, check the product page and the manufacturer’s documentation.
Hughes Electricals offers an optional extended protection plan called Hughes Care where available on selected appliances - you’ll see it on the product page. Hughes Care is usually shown as a monthly-paid option with no fixed contract on qualifying items; pricing and availability appear alongside the product when cover is offered. Review the product page to see exact costs and terms for Hughes Care on each eligible item.
Hughes Electricals operates a Price Promise which will match in-stock prices (and delivery charges) from selected competitors including AO, Currys, Marks Electrical and Richer Sounds, subject to terms. Price matching applies to like-for-like products that are in stock with both retailers, offered on identical terms and available to order on the same day. The service is also available up to 7 days after purchase. Provide evidence of the competitor price and Hughes will refund the difference where a match is agreed.
Certain categories and exclusive discounts are excluded from the Price Promise, including games consoles, computing and Apple products in many cases. It also excludes prices only available via paid memberships, trade prices, third-party marketplace sellers and exclusive offers such as staff, student and NHS Blue Light discounts. The competing offer must be publicly verifiable and match the identical terms set out by Hughes so matches remain fair and comparable.
When a price match is approved, Hughes Electricals will refund the price difference to the original payment method within 3–5 working days. Price match requests are typically reviewed and processed within one working day after submission. Any refund from a post-purchase price match will be returned once the claim has been validated and approved under the published terms. Customers should supply order information and evidence of the competitor price when applying for a match.
Yes - the Price Promise assessment takes into account the cost of the product plus any delivery and installation charges where applicable. That means a competitor’s lower product price won’t qualify if the combined cost of product and delivery/installation isn’t actually lower than the Hughes total. Be sure to provide details of any delivery or installation fees so Hughes can make an accurate comparison.
Hughes Electricals asks customers to contact the sales or customer service teams by phone, live chat or email for price match requests and returns authorisations. The Price Promise page lists the contact options and the returns page requires customers to get in touch before sending goods back. Price matches are available up to seven days post-purchase, while change of mind returns should be requested within 14 days of delivery. Clear contact details and forms are provided on the site to start either process.
Hughes Electricals publishes brand-specific warranty promotions for selected appliances, such as extended guarantees for certain Haier, Siemens, Hisense and Rangemaster models. These promotional warranties vary by brand and model and come with terms and registration instructions where applicable. The promotions page for a given manufacturer explains the exact duration and any registration steps you must follow to claim the extended cover. Product pages will show whether the extended warranty is included and any activation steps.
Before returning goods, contact Hughes Electricals by email, live chat or phone to obtain authorisation and follow the returns process on the returns page. Don’t send goods back without prior contact, and remember that bundled items must be returned together where applicable. The site also lists limited exceptions - for example, sealed health and hygiene items can’t be returned if unsealed. Following the process helps ensure a smooth refund, exchange or repair in line with the published terms.
