How the calculator works: an example

Example: you're buying a bathroom wall light at BHS for £35.00, and you have a 10% off code. If a 40% sale is on and the code also works on sale items, the sale takes off £14.00 and the code a further £2.10, so the basket drops to £18.90: a saving of £16.10. Press “Fill in the example” to see it worked out, or put in your own basket, sale and code. Whether a code works on sale items depends on its terms.

How to use a BHS discount code

  1. Add your lights or homewares to your basket on bhs.com.
  2. Enter the code at checkout, as BHS's own banners say ("use code … at checkout"). Type it exactly as given, including any dashes.
  3. Check the discount shows before you pay. BHS codes don't work with other offers, so items already reduced in its All Offers section won't take a code.
  4. Student and key worker codes come from GoCertify: verify your status there first, then enter the code it gives you at checkout.
