Prices depend on the club you join, and every membership we priced on its join page had no joining fee. Students get a cheaper Student membership on a 9-month term, with proof of student status.

Who qualifies for a discount

Students
A Student membership costs less than Classic and has no joining fee: £55 a month at Bath and £45 at Bedford on a 9-month minimum term, or 3 months paid upfront (£199 at Bath). Freezing

Cancelling
New members can cancel within 7 days of joining (no refund after 3 or more visits). How the calculator works: an example

Example: you're buying a gym membership at Fitness First for £59.00, and you have a 10% off code. If a 40% sale is on and the code also works on sale items, the sale takes off £23.60 and the code a further £3.54, so the basket drops to £31.86: a saving of £27.14. How to join Fitness First and get its offers

  1. Press Join Now on fitnessfirst.co.uk and choose your primary club: prices depend on the club (at Bath a Classic membership was £70 a month, at Bedford from £59).
  2. Choose Classic or Student and a start date, then the term: 12, 6 or 1 month for Classic, 9 months or 3 months paid upfront for students. Current offers, such as "No joining fee", show on each option.
  3. Enter your details (students upload proof of status now or within 14 days), choose whether to upgrade to Premium or 360, and pay your first month by card; later months are collected by Direct Debit.
  4. There is no promo code box on the join page: offers apply by themselves. Staff of a company with a corporate agreement join with their corporate employer code from the Corporate page.
